Chances are you know someone personally who has or is battling breast cancer. In fact, 1 in 8 women in the U.S. will develop this form of cancer by the age of 95. About 1% of all breast cancer cases happen in men. Much awareness has been raised regarding this disease, its cause, prevention and cure...much more needs to be done. This is your opportunity to help out and hear some great local musicians. 'Bands 4 Boobies' is in its 5th year and has raised nearly $15,000 thus far. 100% of proceeds benefit the 'Pink Ribbon Connection', (PRC) an organization that 'provides emotional support, local resources and education to those touched by breast cancer across Indiana.' The event is being held in Fountain Square at 'Radio Radio' located at 1119 Prospect Street (Indianapolis 46203) on Saturday, April 25, 2015. Doors open at 7:30 pm, and bands start at 8. There is a $5 cover, and raffle items, t-shirts, coozies and keychains all sporting the Bands4Boobies (B4B) logo will be available for purchase...all...100% going to PRC. Founding B4B Director, Jason Oldham (Audio Hitmen bassist) is in the hopes of raising $6,000 with this event. He also notes that the bands who participate, completely donate their time and efforts. B4B is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, which means your donations are tax deductible.
